This FAQ page provides answers to the most frequently asked questions about team days, team events and team building – from definitions and effects to planning, procedures and general conditions.
A team day is a deliberately planned day on which teams come together outside their usual working environment. The aim of a team day is to strengthen cooperation, promote communication and create shared experiences.
Team days can take various forms – from team events and workshops to outdoor activities, offsites or incentives. They are often used as part of team development, employee retention or cultural work.
A team day is the overarching framework, while team events are experience-oriented and team building is specifically development-oriented. Team events usually focus on shared experiences and motivation. Team building goes one step further and works specifically on cooperation and group dynamics. A team day can combine both approaches in a meaningful way.
During a team day or team event, teams take part in joint activities accompanied by discussion and reflection.
The content, intensity and schedule are tailored to the objective, team size and setting. In addition to the experience itself, the focus is often on consciously perceiving dynamics. This creates a lasting effect that extends beyond the day itself.
Team days are suitable for teams of all sizes and industries.
They are particularly useful for new team constellations, growth, changes or when cooperation needs to be strengthened. Even established teams benefit from new ideas and perspectives.
A workation combines working together with a conscious change of location and team time.
Teams focus on content and use joint activities to strengthen cooperation. The change of location creates distance from everyday life and promotes new ways of thinking. The term is often used in connection with slightly reduced working hours and holidays, i.e. extending your holiday a little and working from beautiful locations.
Leadership development encompasses measures for further developing leadership style, communication and decision-making skills.
This involves self-reflection, understanding one’s role and impact on the team. Leadership development can take place individually or in a team context.
Team days, team events and team building strengthen cooperation, trust and motivation within the company.

In extreme conditions, it may be advisable to postpone the event, provided that the framework agreements with major partners (e.g. hotel reservations, framework conferences, etc.) allow this.
